Erin Dryden, LMSW
Erin (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker and therapist living in Austin, TX. Erin received her B.A. from Georgia State University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She relocated to Austin in 2022 and shortly afterwards, received her associate license, and began working towards her clinical license. Erin is supervised by Sarah Kincheloe, LCSW-S.
Erin provides individual therapy to adults of all ages and genders, with a specialization in depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and complex trauma. Erin's therapeutic style is genuine and person-centered and she strives to create a trusting space tailored to what clients want or need, whether that is a laid back space to process or more structured therapy.
Erin has clinical experience at all levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy, and has worked with both groups and individuals. She is an eclectic therapist and is influenced by psychodynamic and attachment theory, relational psychotherapy, and interpersonal neurobiology. She utilizes interventions from evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindful Self-Compassion. Erin is also intensively trained in and utilizes skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has completed Level 1 training in Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT).
Erin is committed to providing a therapeutic space that is trauma-informed, self- compassion focused, and disability, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming. In her free time, she loves to read, spend time with her partner and her animals (she is both a cat person and a dog person!), take long walks, and eat delicious food.
