Leslie Johnson, LCSW
Leslie is an Austin native. Even at a young age she felt called to assist others and has always chosen to work in various helping professions.
Leslie attended the University of Texas for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. While becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), she has increased her clinical skills in multiple settings including educational, healthcare, behavioral, and mental health. She has had the opportunity to work with many different people from all walks of life which only increased her passion for social justice. These experiences, in addition to her pursuit of her own personal growth, assist Leslie in really being able to be present for her clients and their unique, individual needs.
As a thoughtful and compassionate listener, Leslie will validate your experiences from a place of genuine care. She offers support and insight through constructive yet gentle questioning and suggestions. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through an Attachment Theory lens. Leslie excels at empowering individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and past traumas. She is confident that working together, you can increase moments of happiness and feelings of self worth.
